About Nick – Chat Space Counselling

I started Chat Space Counselling because I know how heavy life can get.

Most people carry more than they let on. Work pressure. Family stuff. Relationship strain. Kids struggling. Financial stress. Expectations. Trying to be strong for everyone else.

And sometimes you just need a space where you don’t have to hold it all together.

That’s where I come in.

A Bit About Me

I’m a husband and a dad of seven.

I come from a split family myself and have lived through divorce from a child’s perspective. I’m also a step-parent, so I’ve seen family life from both sides.

I’m heavily involved in the local community through Junior Rugby League — coaching teenage boys and girls and working closely with families. I see first-hand what young people are dealing with today, and I see the pressure men carry quietly.

This work isn’t theoretical for me. It’s real life.

How I Work

My approach is client-centred, which simply means you’re the expert in your own life.

I’m here to listen, ask the right questions, help you untangle what’s going on, and support you to move forward in a way that feels realistic and achievable.

Whether I’m working with a man carrying too much, a child navigating big emotions, or a teenager trying to find their footing, the goal is the same:

Create a safe space.
Build confidence.
Develop tools.
Move forward with clarity.

Qualifications

I hold a Diploma of Counselling through AIPC and I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Professional standards matter to me. So does integrity, confidentiality, and creating a safe, ethical space for every client.
